Why I Am On the Web

To provide a place where my passion for women to be free in Christ will find a wider audience, and where my writings and ruminations can encourage, enlighten, and embolden women to be all that they were created to be. Not just to provide encouragement to fellow writers, Bible teachers, and speakers, but that any woman—no matter her talents and aspirations—will be inspired to reach that for which she was called by God from before time began.

The themes of my heart, which will find a home in this web site, are:

  • That all humanity has been reconciled and included in the Triune Life of God through the incarnation, death, resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ—as revealed to us by the Holy Spirit.

  • That women are co-heirs, totally equal, and accepted in Christ Jesus in whom there is no longer any male or female designation.

  • That the unconditional, unending, and unlimited love of God is incomparable to even the highest of human relationships, and can be utterly relied upon even when everyone and everything else fails us.

My commitment to champion women--despite sadness and frustration with the stain-glass ceilings in the church—has not abated over many years of ministry. I am determined not to grow discouraged or bitter, but to continue to grow in the grace and gentleness of the Father as I fulfill the call he has placed on my life and work. And I hope that such an attitude will incite us all to take the high road of love towards even—and especially—those with whom we disagree the most.

I respect your time and intelligence and trust that you will give me feedback. Where there is discouragement I pray that hope will surge. Where disappointment and personal pain has eclipsed energy, I believe for the life and love of God to flow. Where there is defeat, that you will determine to rise again and do only what the Father tells you—fearing disobeying Him more that fearing a system that dictates a secondary or subjugated role for your gender.
